This movie was a great look into a community that needs fixing and how social good and a strong community can do anything! It is nice to see that someone, especially in Kansas City is trying to tackle the problem of segregation and violence. Everything the articles talked about surface in this movie. Stereotypes, trying to build trust, immerse yourself, and give the community a voice. Once the community saw that they were not forgotten they rallied together and made a difference.
I really liked the Supermen class that was offered too. Teaching men to be respectful, honest, smart, and approachable is important. Also that they need to know every day activities and how to look presentable. I think that it is a great idea that they get a suit and are sent off to job interviews. Getting a steady job is crucial for some of these men and made a huge difference in their lives.
