- Stating what you are good at and what you can bring to the company is something that is crucial obviously. This question is bound to come up during the interview anyway so it is better to state what you can do and sort of control the future interview.

- It seems all of these pieces of advice hint towards knowing the company. If you state all these things, show you did your homework, studied the environment, looked at their work, and still applied it shows that you are still very interested in the position. I think this comforts the company and lets them know that you are dedicated.

This reading shows the hiring process of Steve Jobs, his mentality towards his work, and the goal he had set for Apple. Through hiring pirates, Steve took the outcasts, unspoken, crazy, innovative, and creative people of the world and threw them in the Apple think tank. He loved passion and hard work.
Why is this important? It is important because Apple is considered to be one of the most successful, innovative, creative etc. companies in the world. They only higher the bests and brightest. So it makes sense that if you want to succeed we need to innovative and have lots of passion to be considered some of the best and brightest. It is the person that is dedicated that will succeed.
