This pair is just a simple change, the rotation of the lettering. But rotating the letters does a lot for the composition. By placing them on a diagonal axis I believe there is even more room to play with the orientation because your eye does not read one word first from left to right, now the reader must decide which diagonal axis to start on.
Once again simple changes occur between the two. Landscape to portrait is one of them. Also the leading and kerning change just slightly. With the wider layout the kerning and leading are spaced so that an even triangle will be created using closure. The portrait is longer and taller. This leading and kerning gives the feel of front to back and top to bottom. By decreasing the size we get the feeling of the words receding into the page.
